Overview
Welcome developers. To fully get started developing a Yodlee FinApp you need to register on Yodlee MoneyCenter, but before you do reading this 'How to' and reading the following 'Specs' page should give you enough information to decide if this is right for you.
Why Would I Want to Develop a Yodlee FinApp?
The Yodlee FinApp platform gives you the ability to build applications that help people figure out how to better manage, spend, or indulge in life with their money. Consumers use Yodlee PersonalFinance through their primary bank or a web portal banking service. With Yodlee PersonalFinance they can put all of their financial accounts, from any financial institution in one place and manage and pay bills from that solution. Yodlee offers this service to 26 million consumers through the top 200 banks and top portals. What this means for you is that the Yodlee FinApp you develop has the potential to be sold to this available and growing marketplace through the Yodlee FinApp Store.
What Can I Build as a Yodlee® FinApp Developer?
Use your imagination. Create a Yodlee FinApp for a "Sanity Vacation Saver" and watch your palm tree light up the more money saved for a Maui trip, or have the stack of cash grow as a users investments grow in an "Invest Best" application. With the rich data available in the Yodlee PersonalFinance solution, you can create anything, and we hope you do. Here are some examples:
Track Spending
By using APIs that show how a person has been spending their money, that person can visualize their cash flow and make better money management decisions.
APIs Used
- Transaction Search
Trends
The Yodlee platform gives a Yodlee FinApp access to historical account balances for multiple account types including, credit cards, bank accounts, investments or any other linked financial accounts. This information can be trended to show consumers how their balances are growing or shrinking over time.
APIs Used
- Account Summary
- Account Details
- Transaction Search
